I've been using a DVD Inventory program called DVD Profiler. In the last year the website/name changed from Intervocative to Invelos. I've been using it for about 3 years now, maybe 4. What's really slick is that you just enter the UPC code from the DVD packaging and it enters it quickly into a record. There are 3 categories, Owned, Ordered, and Wishlist. And of course you can easily move from Wishlist to Ordered to Owned, if you're really anal. I almost never follow all of the stages. The only downfall that I see is that it only runs on Windows, not Linux. Oh well.
One of the features that I really like is that I can backup my list (not all data, though, there's a backup database for that) to their website. And it formats it for easy perusing with a webbrowser but you can't make changes. Here's a link to mine... http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/HutcHJC
Oh yeah!!! It's free to use. There are limitations with the free version. You don't get high-def cover scans, but you can save your own. And you can only sync about 600 or so up to their website. However, it's only $30 for all the features.
Check it out!!
